The Diplomat Luncheonette (314 Drayton St.), a joint venture between chef James Levens and Pinkie Masters owner Matt Garappolo, opens in a space adjacent to the famed Savannah dive bar this September. Levens’ menu channels an old-school New York deli with French, Mediterranean and Middle Eastern influences, as well as a slew of vegetarian and vegan sides. Bicycle delivery and to-go beer and wine are in the works, and if you’re howling at the moon, they’re open til 2 a.m. Thursday through Saturday.
