Originally from Tennessee, Realtor Kati Ann Wright has become a well-known, vibrant Savannahian. She leads The Wright Group, an all-female team serving the needs of clients both locally and nationally. Wright lives on Skidaway Island in The Landings, enjoying its natural beauty and relaxed way of life, and is the proud mama to 6-year-old son, Talmadge. We asked her about a few of her favorite places and things to do in Savannah, when she’s not busy helping people land their dream home.
How would you describe Savannah as a place to live? Savannah is special — there’s really no place quite like it. What I love most about our city is the way it makes people feel. This is a city where traditions and honoring heritage matter, unique history and architecture surround you, and people still live by the tides.
What part of town do you reside in and why did you choose that area? Skidaway Island is surrounded by the Intracoastal Waterway and marshes while maintaining the integrity of the nature preserve and wildlife. The amenities in our neighborhood are unlike any other in the area. Whether you want to golf, boat, swim, play pickle ball, tennis, bocce ball, or fish, The Landings offers it all. We love being able to hop on the golf cart — which my son now believes is a main source of transportation — and go on island adventures. Watching the herons and sunsets are simply breathtaking.

What are some of the new restaurants you’ve tried lately and liked? I love oysters, so The Darling Oyster Bar is top on my list, as well as Ele Tran’s latest restaurant, Sunday Sunday.
What are some of your favorite things to do with your son? Talmadge and I love being outdoors together. When I’m not selling houses, I am with family. You can find us fishing, hunting for crabs in the muddy marsh, riding bikes on the island, and our personal favorite activity, crabbing.
You also mentioned enjoying spending time at the beach. Could there be a more relaxing place? Year-round, there is nothing better than savoring a good book in a beach chair while listening to the waves crash.
What is your idea of a perfect day in Savannah? A day filled with family and friends at the beach followed by dinner at The Wyld.

One of Savannah’s hidden gems, in your opinion, is … Clutter Furnishings & Interiors. It’s high-end home furnishing consignments. I love being able to walk into Lynn and Brooke’s shop and find something unique unlike anything else you will find in Savannah. [Lynn Rahn and Brooke Rahn Thomas are Clutter’s founder/owners.] I have filled my home with one-of-a-kind pieces from here over the years.
What are a few of your other favorite places to shop? I love to shop small and support small-business owners. Hannah E.: She not only is a fabulous stylist, but can make anyone feel their best after one conversation. Gaston Crue Interiors has beautiful home furnishings and antiques. The Paris Market & Brocante feels like a true glimpse into a shop in Paris while being in downtown Savannah. And The Horseshoe Crab and The Monogram Place is an easy pop-in for a small gift for any occasion
When it’s time to pamper yourself, you … Turn off my phone and either sneak away for a walk outside, an indoor cycling class — or take a vacation!
