My Savannah: Courtney Victor

- by

We ask Courtney Victor, owner of Glow Medical Spa and Beauty Boutique: What’s your perfect Savannah day?

5 A.M.: Start work in my home office for Glow. I try to get my computer work done early so when I go in, I can focus on our customers and my team.

7 A.M.: Bring my laptop outside to watch the sunrise from our porch. I enjoy a shake from Blend & Press and go over plans for the day. When my daughter Reese wakes up, we love to head out to paddleboard on the Skidaway River in front of our house. If we spot any dolphins swimming, it’s an extra special morning.

8 A.M.: Drop Reese off at The Little School at Savannah Country Day. She loves it, and as an SCDS alumna I love knowing that she’s getting a great education. My parents both went there, too!

9 A.M.: Meet with my trainer at 24/7 Midtown — our new neighbors at Glow — and get a quick workout in. Other days I’ll take a New Yoga Now class in the outdoor space at the Ships of the Sea museum or a barre class at Otium downtown — they lead a great rooftop yoga class at Perry Lane Hotel, too. I try and fit one hour of exercise into my day, but the details change depending on my schedule.

10 A.M.: Arrive at Glow Midtown for morning team meeting, do some merchandising, schedule training sessions and events and check in with my team.

11 A.M.: Head downtown to meet with the team at our new Glow outpost at the Perry Lane Hotel. We’re working with the hotel on an exclusive line of private-label Glow products.

12 P.M.: Walk a few steps down from the hotel to our new Glow Downtown location right on Chippewa Square above Gallery Espresso. If I have time, I get an IV hydration treatment for a little energy boost.

1 P.M.: Pop up to the Chatham Club for a lunch meeting with friends — we’re planning an event benefiting the St. Joseph’s/Candler Foundation’s 1804 Club. I have such fond memories of going to the Chatham Club with my grandmother as a little girl. Ruchi and Susan and the rest of the team there always take such beautiful care of us.

2 P.M.: Head to the Jepson Center for a Telfair Ball silent auction meeting. This year we’re celebrating the 200th anniversary of the museum’s founding, and the ball is sure to be beyond.

3 P.M.: Pick Reese up from school and my mom joins us as we pick up donations for the Telfair Ball silent auction and make stops at our favorite stores. Bleubelle is my favorite — I always find dresses there. We also love Punch & Judy, Sara Jane, Number Four Eleven, Circa Lighting, The Paris Market and Brocante, Smith Brothers Butcher Shop, Levy Jewelers, One Fish Two Fish, Arcanum, shopSCAD and Clutter.

6 P.M.: Head to Sandfly to pick up supper from my friends at What’s For Dinner? — we love the broccoli salad and the Whole 30 meals. Then home to the Bluff for either a quick dip in the Isle of Hope pool or a boat cruise, circling back to the marina just in time for a Pavilion Series concert or a walk down the Bluff.

8 P.M.: Leopold’s ice cream for dessert, then bedtime stories with my daughter on the porch swing. We’re always picking up new books from E. Shaver, just like I did when I was little.

9 P.M.: One more hour of work for Glow on my laptop, then a nice end-of-day porch moment as a beautiful moon rises over the river.
