Listening is an act of love

I don't know if you are an NPR junkie like me, but I love it. As a storyteller, I really love listening to the programs that have real stories from people's lives, programs like “This American Life” and “StoryCorps.” I'm very excited to learn that Story Corps is here in Savannah at the Telfair Museum of Art!
From the Website:
“This oral history program starts from the viewpoint that “listening is an act of love.” Begun by award-winning documentary producer, Robert Isay, StoryCorps travels the country, collecting the oral histories of friends and loved ones, one conversation at a time. The conversations are collected and a copy is given to the participants, and with their permission, the interviews are then forwarded to the Library of Congress to be archived for future generations.”
I really believe that everyone has a story to tell, and it's worthy of telling. We're preserving who we are for the future generations, so they can look back to see where we've been. They are at the Telfair Academy of Arts through February 21. You can make a reservation to share your own story by calling (800)850-4406 or by visiting the Georgia Public Broadcasting website.
